Each group can have one trainer. Assigning one is what puts the group into that person’s own week and into their earnings breakdown.
Only an owner or an admin can assign or remove a group’s trainer. The control is visible to everyone else but disabled, with a note saying why.
Assign one
- Open the club, then Update profile → Groups.
- Tap the group.
- Tap Edit in the top bar.
- Next to the trainer row, tap +.
- Pick somebody from the list.
- Tap Save.
The list offers every accepted member of the club whose role is Trainer — not only the ones already in this group. Assigning somebody adds them to the group automatically, so there is no need to add them as a member first.
If the person you want is not in the list, their club role is not Trainer yet. Change their role first — see Change a member’s role — and they will appear.
Hand the group to somebody else
Assign the new trainer over the top; there is no need to clear the old one first.
Remove the trainer
Tap the × on the assigned trainer’s chip and save. That un-assigns them from this group. It does not take away their club-wide Trainer role, and it does not remove them from the group’s member list.
Assign and remove are deliberately the same permission. Letting a trainer drop a group without being able to hand it on would leave groups quietly uncovered.
What changes for the trainer
Once assigned, they get:
- the group in My Week on their club home screen, alongside every other group they coach, and
- the group as an option when they log an earning, and as a line in their earnings breakdown.
They also show up under the club’s Trainers shelf, which owners and admins use to see every trainer’s groups and this month’s numbers at once.
Notes
- One trainer per group. There is no co-trainer, and no way to assign two.
- A group can have no trainer at all. Club analytics counts groups without one, so they are easy to find.
