The club feed is where a club tells itself things. A post goes to exactly the people it concerns, and stays there for whoever missed it the first time.
Write a post
- Open the club from the navigation drawer.
- Tap the + button and choose New post.
- Pick the type from the chips at the top: Information, Event, Training or Practice. Only the types your role is allowed to write are shown.
- Enter a title and a body. Both are required — tapping Post with either empty just moves the cursor to the empty one.
- Optionally set a date. Events, training and practice entries get a date picker; an information note does not need one.
- Optionally choose the audience. The default is the whole club.
- Optionally add response options — see below.
- Tap Post and confirm.
Choose who sees it
The audience row offers four choices:
- Everyone in the club.
- A group — just that team or section.
- A role — for example every trainer, or every admin.
- A single member.
People outside the audience do not see the post at all. This is the difference between the feed and a chat group: you are not asking eighty people to skim something meant for eleven.
Add a response poll
Turn on Add response options and fill in the two options. Both are required once the switch is on.
Readers tap one of the two on the post itself, and you see the running count and percentage per option. It is how you find out who is coming to Saturday’s match without a thread of forty replies.
Polls are available on events, training and practice entries — the post types that involve turning up somewhere.
Which types you can post
Your role in the club decides:
| Role | Information | Event | Training | Practice |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Owner | yes | yes | no | yes |
| Admin | yes | yes | no | yes |
| Staff | yes | no | no | yes |
| Trainer | yes | no | yes | yes |
| Member | no | no | no | yes |
| Child member | no | no | no | no |
Training entries are a trainer’s to write, which is why an owner does not get that option. A child account cannot post at all — the + button is not shown to them.
After you post
Everyone in the audience gets a push notification, if they have notifications switched on. Tapping it opens that exact post rather than the feed.
You can delete your own post at any time from the post itself. Owners and admins can delete anyone’s.
Notes
- Closing the compose screen with text in it asks before discarding.
- Read and flagged are private to each device. Nobody in the club can see what you have read, and flagging something for later does not tell the author.
