Create a group and give it a schedule

Set up a team or section in e.Vernetzt: name it, choose public or private, add the weekdays it meets, and assign a trainer and members while you are there.

A group is how a club splits itself up: a team, an age bracket, the committee, the people who run the bar. Each one has its own members, its own recurring times and at most one trainer.

Any accepted member can create a group, except a child account. What you are allowed to set while creating it depends on your role — see the notes at the end.

Create the group

  1. Open the club from the navigation drawer.
  2. Tap the + button and choose New group. You can also get there through Update profile → Groups, then the + in the corner.
  3. Enter the group’s name. This is what everyone in the club will see, so “U12 Squad” beats “Group 3”.
  4. If you are an owner or admin, choose whether the group is public or private. Public means anyone in the club can find it and join it themselves; private means only the people already in it can see it.
  5. Add a schedule if the group meets regularly — see below.
  6. If you are a trainer, owner or admin, you can assign a trainer and add members now instead of afterwards.
  7. Save.

Set the schedule

A schedule is a recurring weekly slot, not a list of individual dates:

  • Weekdays — pick one or several. You cannot deselect the last one; a schedule always has at least one day.
  • Start and end time — one time range, shared by every day you picked.
  • Location — optional, and free text: “Main Hall”, “Pitch 2”.
  • Start date — when the schedule begins.
  • End date — optional. Leave it empty and the group recurs indefinitely.

The app turns that into concrete sessions: members see them in What’s Next on the club home screen, and trainers see every group they coach together in My Week.

One time range per schedule

All the days in a schedule share the same start and end time. If your Tuesday session runs 18:00–19:30 and your Thursday session runs 19:00–20:30, that is two groups, not one group with two schedules — there is no way to express two different time ranges under one group.

Changing it later

Open the group and tap Edit. Owners and admins can change the visibility, the schedule and the trainer; the person who created the group is the one who can rename it. Every control you are not allowed to use is shown disabled with a short reason rather than hidden, so it is always clear whose call it is.

Whenever the schedule actually changes — including being removed — everyone currently in the group is notified.

Notes

  • A group created by a plain member or a trainer is always public. The visibility switch is only available to owners and admins.
  • Assigning a trainer adds them to the group automatically; you do not need to add them as a member first.
  • Deleting a group can be done by its creator or by any owner or admin. It unassigns everyone, deletes the schedule, and notifies each former member. It cannot be undone.
