In short

This is a static website. There are no user accounts, no comments and no contact form. Apart from the cookie choice you make yourself and — only after you explicitly agree — audience measurement, no personal data is collected here.

Server logs and hosting

This website is hosted by Cloudflare, Inc. on Cloudflare Pages. When a page is requested, Cloudflare processes technically necessary connection data such as IP address, time of the request, the file requested, the referrer, and browser and operating system identifiers.

The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; the legitimate interest is operating the site securely, reliably and resistant to attack. A data processing agreement under Art. 28 GDPR is in place with Cloudflare, and EU Standard Contractual Clauses cover transfers to the United States.

Cookies and consent

A consent banner appears on your first visit. Until you make a choice there, no non-essential service is loaded and no non-essential cookie is set.

The only strictly necessary cookie is the one set by the consent software (vanilla-cookieconsent), which stores your own choice for six months so you are not asked again on every visit. The legal basis is § 25(2)(2) TTDSG in conjunction with Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

You can change or fully withdraw your choice at any time via the “Cookie preferences” link in the footer. Withdrawal takes effect going forward.

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4, provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland, to understand how this website is used.

Google Analytics loads only if you accepted the “Analytics” category in the consent banner. Without your consent no connection to Google is made, no script is fetched and no cookie is set. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR.

IP anonymisation is enabled, and advertising features, remarketing and ad data sharing are switched off (Google Consent Mode v2: ad_storage, ad_user_data and ad_personalization remain permanently denied). Transfer to the United States cannot be excluded; Google is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, supplemented by EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

The data processed is pseudonymous usage data: pages viewed, approximate region, time on page, referrer, and device and browser type. It is deleted automatically after 14 months.

Fonts

All fonts are served from our own origin. No connection is made to Google Fonts or any other content delivery network, and no data is transmitted to third parties in the process.

Contacting us by email

If you write to us by email, we process your message and your sender address solely to handle your enquiry. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR for contract-related enquiries and Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR otherwise.

We delete enquiries once they have been dealt with conclusively, unless statutory retention obligations require otherwise.

Your rights

You have the right of access (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and the right to object to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21 GDPR). Contact privacy@binarieslab.com to exercise any of them.

You may withdraw any consent you have given at any time with effect for the future, without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal.

Right to lodge a complaint

You have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. The authority responsible for us is the Landesbeauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit Nordrhein-Westfalen, Kavalleriestraße 2–4, 40213 Düsseldorf, Germany.

Changes to this policy

We update this policy whenever the processing described here changes. If a change concerns services that require your consent, the consent banner is shown again.
