Turn push notifications on or off

e.Vernetzt never asks for notification permission at launch. Here is where the switch is, what a notification does when you tap it, and how to change your mind.

Notifications are how you hear that training is cancelled while the app is closed. e.Vernetzt does not ask for them when you first open it — the decision is yours, in your own time.

Turn them on

  1. Open the navigation drawer.
  2. Tap Notifications.
  3. Turn the switch on.
  4. Your phone asks whether to allow notifications. Tap allow.

Once permission is granted, this device is registered to receive them. Turning the switch off again unregisters it, and nothing is sent to that phone until you turn it back on.

If you said no earlier

A phone only asks once. If you declined the first time, the switch cannot bring the prompt back — the app will offer Open Settings instead, which takes you to this app’s page in your phone’s own settings where notifications can be allowed. Come back and the switch will follow.

What you get

A notification for a club post you are an audience for. Tapping it opens that post, not the app’s home screen or the club’s feed — including from a cold start, where the app has to sign you in on the way.

Notes

  • They are per device. Turning them on on your phone does nothing for your tablet, and vice versa.
  • A notification for a club you have left is dropped silently. If you were removed from a club between a post going out and you tapping it, nothing happens. That is not a failure, just nothing left to open.
  • Read and flagged are not notifications. Marking a post read or flagging it is private to one device and does not notify anybody.
