Join a club by scanning its QR code

How to find your club in e.Vernetzt and send a join request: get the QR code, scan it, confirm the club name, and what happens while you wait for approval.

Every club in e.Vernetzt has its own QR code. Scanning it is the only way in — there are no invite links to forward and no shared password, which means nobody can join your club by guessing a name.

Before you start

Ask someone who already runs the club — an owner or an admin — for its QR code. They can show it on their own screen or send you a picture of it; either works.

Send the join request

  1. Open e.Vernetzt and sign in. If you have not got an account yet, create one first and confirm it with the code we email you.
  2. Open the navigation drawer and tap Add club.
  3. Tap Scan QR code. The first time, your phone will ask for camera access — the camera is only ever used for this.
  4. Point the camera at the code. The club’s name appears on screen so you can check you scanned the right one.
  5. Tap Request to join.

That is the whole flow. If you would rather not go ahead after seeing the name, Cancel takes you back without sending anything.

What happens next

Your request goes into an approval queue that every owner and admin of that club sees on their club home screen. Until one of them approves it, opening the club shows a waiting-for-approval card rather than the real page.

Once you have been approved, the club may not appear immediately. Your memberships travel inside your sign-in token, so the app has to fetch a new one before it knows about the change. Two things fix it:

  • Tap Sync account on the waiting card, or
  • pull down to refresh on the club home screen.

If something goes wrong

  • “You are already a member of this club.” You have a membership already — it may just be pending, or your token may be out of date. Sync your account and check the club list in the drawer.
  • You are asked to agree to something first. Joining a club requires the e.Vernetzt services consent. If you declined it earlier, the app asks again here, and the request goes through once you accept.
  • The camera never opens. If you denied camera access permanently, the app offers Open Settings so you can grant it in your phone’s own settings.
  • Nothing was found. A code from a screenshot that has been cropped or compressed may not scan. Ask for a fresh one.

Being rejected

If an owner or admin rejects your request, you will not be able to send another one for that club — the rejected membership stays on record. Ask the club to remove you from it entirely, and then you can apply again.
